Yeah! I'm going to see They Might be Giants tomorrow night.

The unfortunate part is that I have a paper to complete by 11:59 pm as well.

Anyone know how to insert footnotes?

Yes... I am a BAD bad blogger. But I warned you! I warned you! School was going to make my minimal posting even MORE minimal.

Well, school is kicking my butt. I think I might be getting a bit of senioritis. I hate EVERY little thing that I have to do for school.




This is basically what I looked like last Thursday night after getting back a 1st draft attempt at a paper. Thank goodness I have Mr. Shiny Happy Sunbeam for a husband and he helped me get myself back together.

Dang! That teacher ripped my paper to SHREDS! I have NEVER had so many redlines on a paper EVER! EVER!!! It IS her job to rip it apart since it IS a FREAKING WRITING CLASS. But still.... I felt like a total idiot after reading that. THEN, this week in class we were supposed to do peer copy editing. Wow! Was I gun shy after her going over my paper. I questioned myself at every step.

I need a vacation.....

Niki in Positano Italy has the greatest life ever. She gets to LIVE in ITALY! For gosh sakes!

She also has a man who wanders the hills around her home and sings his heart out. I LOVE THIS MAN! Now, I don't sing well (my husband likes to remind me of this fact), so I will not be doing the same. However, I know how he feels when he bursts out into song. I felt the same way when I had climbed to the top of the Italian Alps.

This is sorta what it looked like

I felt like I was in the beginning shot of the Sound of Music.

However, opera is probably more appropriate for Positano.

When I was about 13 or 14 my parents took us on a trip to London. It just so happens that Luciano Poverotti was giving a concert in Hyde park while we were there. It ALSO so happened that our hotel was right beside Hyde Park. The day of the concert, I remember sitting in the bathtub of my hotel room with the window open while Poverotti practiced a bit. It was fabulous!

I didn't go to the concert. We had tickets to Starlight Express. Yes, I chose Starlight Express instead... My mom stayed behind and listened to the entire concert from our hotel room. She was much wiser than I.
