Quiz

It looks like I have a lot of time on my hands. I thought I would do a little quiz. It seems a little broader than the same "What chips do you like" quiz that you see all the time.

1. How many keys are on your keychain?
- 3 : Car, House, Mail
2. What curse word do you use the most?
- CRAP! Is that really a curse word? I guess it is if you don't use anything worse than that.
3. Do you own an iPod?
- Yup, I have a iPod Mini, and a shuffle.
4. What time is your alarm clock set for?
- 6:50am, But I hit the snooze a few times.
5. How many suitcases do you own?
- Between my husband and me, we own 7 I think.
6. Do you wear flip-flops even when it’s cold outside?
- NO WAY!! My feet determine my core body temperature. "Thongs" (as I have ALWAYS called them) are summer ONLY apparel
7. Where do you buy your groceries from?
- Safeway. That is 95% of the time. I like specialty grocers too. Sometimes I wish that I could shop the european way. Food is SO much better. BTW, where do europeans buy rice-o-roni?
8. Would you rather take the picture or be in the picture?
- Definitely take the picture. I am NOT a photogenic person AT ALL. Never have been.
9. What was the last movie you watched?
- The Queen. Highly recommended. Even if you could care less about "The Royals".
10. Do any of your friends have children?
- Not really.
11. If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?
- A new car for my husband. Followed closely by a house.
13. Do you ever take medication to help you fall asleep faster?
- Nope. It doesn't work properly for me. I wake up 2 hours later and I feel like I am having a heart attack.
14. What CD is currently in your CD player?
- I listen to MP3's more often than a CD. I like having the variety of listening to my entire playlist.
15. Do you prefer regular or chocolate milk?
- Hard to say. They are drunk for different purposes. Regular milk is drunk to even out the flavor of sweet things like cookies, cake frosting, etc. Chocolate milk is for drinking all by itself.
16. When was the last time someone hit on you?
- A cashier said I have "Beautiful eyes". Does that count?
17. What did you have for dinner?

18. Can you whistle?
- Very well, thank you.
19. Who was the last person to call you?
- My husband. We talk throughout the day.
21. Do you think people talk about you behind your back?
- I work with a gaggle of women. OF COURSE I am talked about behind my back!
22. How big is your local mall?
- It is no Mall of America. But we have 3 within short driving distance. So, we do pretty good. Although, I would give up the malls for living in a place with NO malls, but I could live on acres of land.
23. How many siblings do you have?
- 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
24. Are you shy around the opposite sex?
- I am more shy around women than men. I just get along better with men. Women are too judgemental
25. What is your biggest regret?
- Taking so long to finish school. I should have gone to school more and worked less.
26. When was the last time you laughed so hard your sides hurt?
- I really can't remember..... How sad.
27. What movie do you know every line to?
- The Princess Bride. But how many other people can say that? How about Seven Brides for Seven Brothers? I can sing all the songs as well as recite all the dialogue.

31. What color is your bedroom painted?
- I live in an apartment. My walls are beige. Blelch....
32. Have you ever cried in public?
- Yes.... All too often. I never used to be a crier. Dang FEMALE HORMONES caught up with me.

- ABSOLUTELY!! Sometimes twice. I can't do a thing in the morning until I have taken a shower. I dont like the film of dirtiness I feel after waking up.

- No. I've grown past that.
38. Can you skip rocks?
- I can. But I haven't in about 10 years.
39. Have you ever been to Jamaica?
- No. I went to Hawaii when I was 6. I haven't been anywhere tropical since.

- Red Vines. NO TWIZLERS! Those make me want to vomit. It is like eating plastic.
41. Have you ever dated someone out of your race?
- Yes.
42. What personality trait is a must-have in your preferred gender?
- Humor
43. Have you ever been attracted to someone physically unattractive?
- If you are attracted to them, then they ARE attractive.
44. When was the last time you slept on the floor?
- About 5 years ago. My parents and I were staying at my sisters house. We were all in the living room. But my parents snored so much that I went and slept in their hallway just to get a few winks.
45. What is your favorite drink?
- Water. LOVE water.
46. Does your closest Starbucks have a drive-thru?
- No. But this is a dumb question. What does this say about ANYTHING?
47. Do you like your living arrangement?
- I like living with my husband. But I DON'T like living in an apartment. I grew up in a 4 bedroom house on five acres, horses, cows, chickens, pigs (not all at the same time, mind you), trees, a stream... You get the picture. So, living in a two bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, and a living room, and a balcony is a bit claustrophobic for me. We end up going out because we we feel cramped inside.
48. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
- Minimum 8. I will work on less. But it is a sad site.
49. Do you eat breakfast daily?
- Unfortunately, no. I like sleep better than food in the morning.

- I sent out an email to one of my co-workers. It was making fun of an email that someone had sent out to a distribution list. She called and told me that I had forwarded it to the entire distribution list! Thankfully she was wrong. It just went to her. I guess I shouldn't make fun of people....in email....NO EVIDENCE.
51. Are your days full and fast-paced?
- No. But I really wish they were at times. I like feeling productive.
52. Did you ever get in trouble for talking in class?
- No. I was always too studius.
53. What is your favorite fruit?
- That is difficult. Either lemon, Strawberry, or Lychee.
54. How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
- I just turned 28 two days ago. So, my next one is *gasp* 29! eek!
55. Are you picky about spelling and grammar?
- Yes, and no. I notice the bad grammar. But I am not persnickity about it. I don't usually tell people they are wrong unless it is an important document. Besides, as you can probably tell from my posts, I am not perfect in my grammar either.
56. Have you ever been to Six Flags? Where?
- I don't think I have ever been to a six flags.
57. Who was the last person to piss you off?
- A person driving in front of me while I was trying to get back from Target at my lunch break. They had no idea where they were going so they were weaving in the lane and going OH SO SLOW. ARGH!!!!
58. Do you get along better with the same or opposite sex? '
- DEFINITELY the opposite sex. I don't really have "girlfriends", because I don't trust most women. I also like unique and intelligent people who aren't smug about it. That is a very rare girl to find.
59. What did you dress up as for your first Halloween?
- I don't remember. Maybe Wonder Woman. That is the first one that I remember anyway.
60. Do you like mustard?
- Oh YES!! I love all types of mustard. May favorite is cranberry mustard. ONLY found in the finest establishments and gourmet eateries!
61. What do you tell yourself when times get hard?
- "Well, you've done harder things than this!"
62. Would you ever sky dive?
- I used to REALLY want to. But that was when I was a silly teenager. I would have done almost anything back then.
63. Do you sleep on your side, tummy, or back?
- All of them. I am always trying to find a comfortable spot.
64. What character from a movie most reminds you of yourself?
- Movie characters are always warped. I am too uninteresting to be similar to a movie character. But if I had to choose one I guess I would say Jane Fairfax from Jane Austen's Emma. No one really got to know her except Frank Churchill. The only person who really gets me is my husband.
65. Have you ever bid for something on ebay?
- Absolutely! I've bought and sold on ebay. I was using it when people were still saying "What is ebay?"
66. Do you enjoy giving hugs?
- No. I do love hugging my husband, but I am not really comfortable with hugging people in general. I won't refuse to hug anyone, but unless I am very close with them it just feels odd.
67. Would you consider yourself to be fashionable?
- I think I would be MUCH more fashionable if I 1) lost weight and 2) had a lot of money. My mom says I am frumpy. This comes from a woman with elastic waisted pants.
68. What celebrities have you been compared to?
- Kelly Martin from Life Goes On. You probably don't remember her or the show. But I used to get that A LOT.
69. Who is your favorite Star Wars character?
- Because I don't know Star Wars that well, I will go with Yoda. He is an intellectual and not annoying like Ewoks or Chewbaca.
70. Does it annoy you when someone says they’ll call but never do?
- No. Because I have a phone too. If I wanted to talk to them I could call them too!
71. Do you think you’re attractive?
- I could be with a little exercise. (Some might think it takes surgery :)
72. Are you a jealous person?
- Not really. I don't envy people. I may yearn for what they have. But I won't begrudge someone what they have earned.

Ugh!

Sure. I am overweight. But I would much rather look like me than this poor girl.

At the Madrid Fashion show last year they tried to crack down on these sick women and tried to enforce a minimum BMI for all the models. Hmmmm... I guess it is a step in the right direction.

Now....

What they HECK are THESE!?!?!?!

Who can wear these and not have flab hanging over the top UNLESS they have some sort of disorder? Even when I was a sporty young teen I could never have worn these "skinny jeans".

If your bikini bottoms are saggy and baggy.... You probably have an eating disorder.

I was pleased at how good America Ferrara looked at the Golden Globes.... I wonder if her stylist will soon have her looking like this...

Read this womans blog. She will give you a better perspective. I LOVE how endearing she is about her mother.

Dogs

Ok.... So I know I can't really have a dog while living in the tiny box of an apartment that my husband and I rent. But after usung the Dog breed selector ( http://animal.discovery.com/breedselector/dogselector.do ) as well as doing my own search there are a few dogs that stand out to me as ones that I would like.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - OH! So adorable! Don't you just want to rub his ears! Sometimes called the "Ultimate Lap Dog". I am not a lap dog person per se. But this one is fabulously good looking!

Shiba Inu - I like this dog because it looks so fuzzy! I also like the short coat it has. I don't like dogs with long hair that need grooming all the time. It is an independant and intelligent dog and is also one of the oldest and most primitive dog breeds.

Harrier - A humorous description of a Harrier is that of "a beagle on steroids." It is playful and outgoing, but not as much as a beagle. I also like it because it is a hunting dog. Not that I enjoy hunting, but I can can just picture myself on horseback with a few Harriers running around with me. I LOVE THAT!!

Carolina Dog - Sometimes called the "American Dingo" because it is native to the US. Ancient Native American paintings depict these dogs.

Basenji - I LOVE this dog! It doesn't bark, it yodels! It is also a very clean dog and is very fastidious in grooming itself. (I LOVE THAT!!) They are very quick learners, but also have a cat like personality in that they are fairly independant, but they form strong bonds with their owners. It is also an ancient dog breed.
Canaan Dog - I think I like the characteristics of ancient dogs because this is another ancient dog. As you might gather from the name, it was around in biblical times and many were owned by Israelites. Like the other ancient dogs, it is independant and highly intelligent.
My husband doesn't like these selections very much. : ( But maybe when the time comes that we have a house and time for a dog we can find a compromise. I LOVE animals (DANG ALLERGIES!!!). If I could have a managerie I definitely would.

Guitar HERO!!!

FINE!!! I'm addicted!

Until December 26th I had a very minimal knowledge of the game Guitar Hero II. I didn't quite understand how one could play guitar as a Playstation Game. But my husband, as a Playstation fanatic as well as a guitar player HAD to have it. So, the day after Christmas, we were at Target and I let him get it. I made the condition that the box would not be opened until he cleaned our extra bedroom/office ( "NO BOXES!!!" ) . Yeah.... Well, the room is WORSE than before and both my husband and I are almost complete with the medium level.

Now.... My husband owns about 5 guitars (maybe more) and can actually PLAY them. I, however, have never played the guitar. I don't know a thing about them. So, for me this Guitar Hero is quite fulfilling. I get to feel like I can play the guitar with out one lesson!! Yay!! I get to play songs I have actually heard before and not start out with scales or learning notes or any other thing that one would have to do while starting a new instrument. I can JAM right out of the box!! It is thrilling!

All I have to do is be able to move my fingers according to the colors of dots coming down the row. (Yeah... I know.... I can't describe it well. ) And then there is the WAMMY bar. I LOVE the wammy bar. It is this little metal bar that sticks out of the guitar. When you have a long extended note you vibrate the bar and you not only get more points, but it makes your performance "ROCK!" My husband is always telling me that I should lay off the wammy and I will do better in the game. I never do. :)

However.... Since I have played Guitar Hero everyday since we got it I am starting to get a little bored. There are about 25 different songs to play and all of them are heavy metal songs that I don't really enjoy but MUST play to progress. UGH!!! There is one Sting song, but OF COURSE it had to be the most boring and repetitive "Message in a Bottle" Ugh Ugh! In fact, last night we were at Best Buy and some kids were playing it. I happened to be an aisle over, but I could hear the music and I just wanted to get away!

Sigh......

3 Days until the original Guitar Hero and my own guitar arrive in the mail.....
